Not another credit card in the floppy
The pathologist’s eyes widened, slightly shocked by Jim’s sudden confession. ‘Jim- w-what?’ she squeaked, not at all knowing how to react to this.
‘That’s- I- well, -that’s ehm- flattering?’ she mumbled hesitantly. ‘Ah- ehm, yes flattering would be a good word to describe it- yes, I think.’ Molly frowned, wrinkling her nose. ‘Yes- flattering.’
‘But -yes, work. I- I have to get back to work too …’ she nodded, relieved she had some sort of excuse to appear busy or at least ignore the IT worker for a bit. ‘Ehm- just going to do some- some paperwork.’ she remarked as she picked up a binder from her desk, trying to seem busy.
Jim looked startled and was still bright red when he just nodded and slowly crossed the room again, to get back to fixing the computer. On his way he let out a frustrated sound. How could he just say something like this to Molly?! He really had overdone it this time. If the sweet pathologist ever talked to him again he might be really glad about it.
Frowning he went on fumbling on the computer and exchanged the RAM he had needed the screwdriver for, before he finally exchanged the computers and wired the new one. To check if everything was fine now he let the new client booting up and tested the system. Everything seemed good now. The last thing he had to do was loading the data he had backuped back onto the new computer what took him another moment.
Silently he shot the pathologist a glance, who tried everything to look busy and having an excuse to ignore him. This really was frustrating. Moriarty was so shortly before hitting his goal but then.. But what exactly was his goal? He wanted to get near Sherlock, who didn’t had shown up yet, not really winning Molly over? Right?! Or maybe his plans had changed? …
